Grease trap cleaning & pumping in Pascagoula, MS
Pascagoula is the Jackson County seat and a shipbuilding town, so alongside its restaurants it has plenty of cafeterias and institutional kitchens. We connect them all with local grease trap providers.
Restaurants, cafeterias, and institutional kitchens
Besides restaurants, Pascagoula has workplace cafeterias, school kitchens, healthcare kitchens, and caterers that cook in volume on fixed shift schedules. These kitchens often have larger traps or outdoor interceptors and tight service windows.
- Service between shifts. Tell providers when your kitchen is idle, such as between meal services or on weekends, so pumping doesn't disrupt service.
- Build your own schedule. Since we did not find a published pumping interval for Pascagoula (see below), have a provider measure your trap and set the interval from the 25% rule.
- Wash-down water matters. Hood, mat, and pad washing should drain to the sanitary sewer through the trap, never to the parking lot or a storm drain.
- Keep records anyway. Even without a published interval, a service record from every visit shows that your trap is being maintained.
Grease trap rules in Pascagoula
Pascagoula is in Jackson County, outside the Harrison County Utility Authority's area. The Jackson County Utility Authority (JCUA) operates the Pascagoula-Moss Point Regional Wastewater Treatment Facility. We did not find a published grease trap pumping interval on the City of Pascagoula's or JCUA's websites, so we don't quote one here.
One verified local rule worth knowing: Pascagoula's storm water ordinance (Ordinance No. 2-2012) lists cooking grease among the pollutants it covers and makes it unlawful to allow discharges into the City Drainage System that are not entirely storm water. In practice, that means grease, trap waste, and greasy wash-down water must never go into parking lot or street drains.
Ask the city's Public Works or utilities staff whether any grease trap permit or cleaning schedule applies to your location. Until then, set your schedule using the 25% rule and your provider's measurements.
